LYMPHOMA
Lymphoma is a type of cancer that evolves from the production of abnormal cells from the lymphatic system. These abnormal lymphocytes can be present in the lymph nodes, spleen, bone marrow, blood, or other organs. Lymphoma is divided into two categories:
- Hodgkin's disease - production of abnormal lymphocytes, called Reed Sternberg cells
- Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma - production of abnormal lymphocytes, B-cells (most common) and T-cells (less common)
